McCartney, a Protestant turned agnostic.

McCartney was born in Walton Hospital in Liverpool, England, where his mother, Mary (born Mohan), worked as a nurse in the maternity ward. She has one brother, Michael, born on January 7, 1944. McCartney was baptized Roman Catholic, but increased non-sectarian, his mother was Catholic and his father, James, or “Jim” McCartney, was a Protestant turned agnostic.
